Detailing preparation is required prior to all our Ceramic Coatings to both provide a suitable surface for coating and ensure the maximum durability. Preparation typically involves a machine polish or machine compound & polish depending on the condition of the paintwork. We always offer for clients to bring their vehicle to our Detailing Studio in Penrose for an assessment prior to booking a service with us. This assessment is cost-free and allows us to make recommendations (such as depending on the planned vehicle use) and agree a service.
new car preparation

This level of preparation is typically sufficient for brand new vehicles. Included in this service is a snow foam, mitt wash, full exterior decontamination of all panels and machine polish preparation. New cars incur contamination from transport to NZ and at dealerships which can include glue residue from protective wraps. This requires specialist techniques and products such as clay and solvents to remove safely and effectively. Furthermore, any damage/marring to clear coat resulting from transport, storage at docks/dealership or decontamination needs to be removed prior to ceramic application. Note: should there be heavier damage or contamination on the clearcoat, additional preparation may be required regardless of age of vehicle.

Our 2yr ceramic coating provides you with a protective layer against UV-rays, strong chemicals, bird droppings or road salt, and also prevents the paint’s oxidation. This ceramic coating will retain most of its hydrophobic and self-cleaning abilities up to 24 months.

Our 3yr ceramic coating adds a further 3H to the hardness of paint, which makes it resistant to light scratches. The hardness of the coating preserves the effects achieved during the paint correction and is synonymous with a much slower paint degradation during maintenance.
Durability is one of most salient merits of this ceramic coating. It is able to maintain 80% of its original hydrophobic properties and to last on the paint throughout a period of at least 12 month.

Our graphene coating utilises graphene oxide mixed with a ceramic base, producing a strong durability. Graphene coatings offer deep shine, high anti-static and arguably a longer life than traditional ceramics (the latter point is not as relevant in the Obsessive range, as our 10yr is still a longer-lasting coating). The key benefit over traditional Sio2 coatings is the added strength of graphene.

Our wheel ceramic coating has an endurance capability exceeding 300 degress Celsius without any damage to its original properties. The fact that this quartz coating is dedicated exclusively to rims is an asset and introduces a new level of quality within the field of rim protection, particularly when compared with conventional, synthetic wax-based protection.

Protection against repeated fading is one of the primary features of our trim ceramic coating. The silicon dioxide-based product ensures high quality half-a-year protection against both oxidation of materials and the destructive influence of chemicals.
Our trim ceramic coating has a formula that allows it to be applied on different vehicles' parts: on plastics with their own structure, on unpainted parts, on so-called piano-black materials, which are most problematic to maintain, and on lamp and headlight shades after renovation has been conducted.
The major difference between our trim ceramic coating and various other trim restoring products is its pure SiO2 base. It does not leave an oily layer on the trim's surface, but strongly bonds with its structure, leaving a thick coat.
